Do you work at or attend a Texas Panhandle school that hasn't had an author or illustrator visit in three years?
 
If so, your school is eligible for a Mitchell-Willis scholarship. The scholarship is named   in honor of my grandparents, J.P. and Henry Mitchell and Zora and Howard Willis. I created the scholarship to give back to schools in my backyard.
 
Two scholarships are now available. One for a primary  school  and  one  for a  secondary school. The winning schools are announced in April and receive a free school visit from me in the following school year.
